«Keep on Chomping» is the children's picture book by Nigel Gray, illustrated by Philippe Dupasquier, from Andersen Press, in hardcover (32 pages, in English).
A whole family, pets included, spends the day eating cornflakes to collect the coupons that promise a pair of «free» sneakers. When they finally manage to collect them all, they discover the prize is not exactly what they expected. A humorous tale about advertising promises and final surprises, with color illustrations.
Original edition published in 1993 by Andersen Press. Standalone work, not part of any series.
Recommended for early readers aged 5 to 6; also works very well as a family read-aloud.
Nigel Gray is a Northern Irish-born Australian author of books for both children and adults.
