«Konrad o el niño que salió de una lata de conservas» is the children's and young adult fantasy novel by Christine Nöstlinger, published by Santillana Educación in paperback (216 pages, in Spanish).
Mrs. Bartolotti lives quite happily weaving rugs and shopping by catalog, although the neighbors consider her odd. One day she receives a large tin can with a boy inside by mail and, forced by circumstances, will have to take care of him in a very original way. A story with humor, tenderness and subtle social criticism.
Work from the Blue Series (+12) by Loqueleo, published in 2016. It is the Spanish version of the original German title «Konrad oder das Kind aus der Konservenbüchse», translated by María Jesús Ampudia. It won the Mildred L. Batchelder Award in 1979.
Recommended for readers aged 12 and over who enjoy family stories, humor and a touch of social criticism, characteristic of Christine Nöstlinger's young adult literature.
