«¡La auténtica historia de los tres cerditos!» is the children's story by Jon Scieszka, published by Thule Ediciones in hardcover (32 pages, in Spanish).
The wolf Alexander T. Wolf gives his version of events: according to him, it all started with a cold and a cake for his grandmother. Told like a press report, this parody of the classic tale calls the official version into question and gives a voice to the character who was always the villain.
Illustrated by Lane Smith and translated into Spanish by Aloe Azid, it belongs to the Trampantojo collection. The original work was published in English in 1989: The True Story of the Three Little Pigs.
A story to read aloud to early readers, with a humor that also appeals to adults who want to revisit the tale from another perspective.
Jon Scieszka is an American author known for picture books including The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs! and Math Curse, often illustrated by Lane Smith. Scieszka wrote Time Warp Trio, a series of youth novels to teach history. He founded Guys Read, a web-based reading advocacy program to encourage boys to become readers."
