«La aventura» is a collection of thirty short stories by Heinrich Böll, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (286 pages, in Spanish).
The thirty stories portray life in postwar Germany: not so much the war itself as its consequences for ordinary people, with shortages, the black market and social relations as a backdrop. Böll broadens the view to the human condition, society, customs and religion.
The original title of the work is «Erzählungen 1950-1970», published in 1972.
Heinrich Theodor Böll was a German writer. Considered one of Germany's foremost post–World War II writers, Böll received the Georg Büchner Prize (1967) and the Nobel Prize for Literature (1972).
