«La banda de música» is the children's book by Allia Zobel Nolan with illustrations by Maria Maddocks, published by Macmillan in hardcover (12 pages, in Catalan).
A cat and a mouse form a band and play instruments among musical notes. The book invites readers to lift flaps to hear the sound and discover which instruments the musicians have lost among the flowers or inside a closet. It belongs to the Escolta & Escolta collection, a sound-based proposal designed for the youngest to approach music in a playful way.
The work is part of the «Escolta & Escolta» series (Oye, oye). The original text, «Animal Parade», was translated into Catalan by Pau Joan Hernández.
Recommended for children aged 2 to 3 who are beginning to discover sounds and musical instruments.
