In this graphic novel, Omar Benlaala reconstructs his adolescence: dropping out of school, the search for identity of a young Frenchman of Algerian origin, his approach to Islam in the mosques of the Paris suburbs, and his evolution from radicalization to ordinary life and humility.
The volume was published in January 2015 under the Raconter la vie imprint, linked to Éditions du Seuil.
For readers interested in real-life testimonies, urban sociology and stories about identity, integration and radicalization in contemporary France.
