La bogeria es una novela escrita por Narcís Oller i Moragas, publicada en 2005 por la editorial Proa. La novela describe un caso de trastorno mental que el autor conoció de cerca. Un rico propietario de Vilaniu, Daniel Serrallonga, aferrissat partidari del general Prim, sufrió un lento e indeturable proceso de alienación mental a partir del asesinato del militar y líder político. Oller contrapone el idealismo del protagonista al racionalismo estricto de Giberga, un estudiante de Medicina, y la actitud más humana, a veces casi irresponsable e irreflexiva de Armengol, el futuro abogado. La novela hace una reflexión sobre la dialéctica humana, que se debate entre dos polos: por un lado, la herencia genética, y por otro, la influencia del medio; es decir, el idealismo contrapuesto al materialismo.
Narcís Oller i de Moragas was a Catalan lawyer and novelist who initially wrote in the traditions of literary realism and naturalism, later adapting his style to the Modernisme movement, the Catalan equivalent of Art Nouveau. Despite his stylistic evolution, he is considered one of the leading Catalan authors of the 19th century.
