A girl disappears on a farm near Fjällbacka and the case revives a tragedy from thirty years earlier. Two teenagers were accused then and released because of their age; one still lives in the village, the other is a Hollywood star who has returned to shoot a movie. The discovery of the body fuels rumors and points to witch-hunting.
