«La cabeza del dragón» is the play by Ramón del Valle-Inclán, published by Espasa in paperback (101 pages, in Spanish).
A children's play that parodies fairy tales: a brave prince faces a dragon to rescue the king's daughter, in a world of goblins, princesses and magic. Beneath the guise of a story, the piece hides ironic references to its author's era.
It belongs to the Espasa Juvenil collection (no. 29). The work was originally published in 1914; this edition is from 1997.
Aimed at child and young readers aged 10 to 14, and at those who want to discover Valle-Inclán's theatre with humor.
Dramaturgo, novelista y poeta español, creador del esperpento y autor de Luces de Bohemia y Tirano Banderas.
