«La casa» is the novel by Manuel Mujica Láinez, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (245 pages, in Spanish).
Set in Buenos Aires, the novel gives voice to a stately house on Florida Street that recalls its past splendor as its demolition approaches. For readers of Argentine fiction seeking a novelized view of the country's social and political history, with the house as witness and symbol.
