«La casa de los espíritus (I)» is the first volume of Isabel Allende's novel, published by Planeta DeAgostini in hardcover, in Spanish.
This first volume introduces the Trueba family: Clara, the matriarch, moves between omens and spirits, and Esteban, the patriarch, is a proud man. In a turbulent Latin American country, bonds of love and hate intertwine with revolution and ultimately set the family against itself.
The cover places it in the publisher's Biblioteca collection. The publication record corresponds to 2002.
A work for readers of Latin American fiction and family sagas with a historical backdrop.
