Synopsis of La Diagonale du vide
La Diagonale du vide es una novela escrita por Pierre Péju, publicada en 2009 por Editions Gallimard. La historia sigue a Marc Travenne, un diseñador exitoso que, tras la muerte de su socio, decide cambiar su vida y se refugia en un gîte en Ardèche. Allí conoce a una misteriosa mujer que sigue la 'diagonale du vide', una franja de territorio con baja densidad de población. Travenne se lanza a la búsqueda de esta mujer, descubriendo secretos que lo llevan desde Nueva York hasta Afganistán.

Pierre Péju
Pierre Péju is a French philosopher, novelist and essayist. Born in Lyon, he studied at the Sorbonne. He has published a number of works in different literary genres, the best-known of which are two prize-winning novels Le rire de l’ogre and La petite Chartreuse. Both titles are studied in French schools and lycees, and both have been translated into English, the former by Euan Cameron and the latter by Ina Rilke.
