«La duana» is a children's story by Josep Muñoz Redón, published by Editorial Bambú in paperback (64 pages, in Catalan).
The action takes place at a customs post, where officials collect taxes, check luggage and ask for documents. Their job lets nothing through, but the story asks what would happen if such rigidity made them bar the way to those who do not fit a profile. In a world of people coming and going, it invites reflection on borders.
The book belongs to the Joves Lectors collection, within the Valors + ciutadania line, and includes illustrations by Lluís Farré Estrada.
Aimed at young readers aged 8 to 11 who are beginning to ask questions about coexistence, borders and citizenship.
