«La España de nuestros abuelos» is the historical and sociological essay by Amando de Miguel, published by Espasa-Calpe in paperback (325 pages, in Spanish).
In this essay, Amando de Miguel approaches the life and mindset of previous generations: customs, habits, family, work or popular religiosity, and also the political and social changes of the 20th century. He presents it as a living heritage, made of many stories rather than a single narrative.
Subtitled «Historia íntima de una época», it is part of the Espasa Hoy collection and includes bibliographic references (pages 313-325).
For readers interested in the social history of Spain and the sociology of everyday life.
