«La fábrica de hombres y otros relatos» is a collection of fantastic tales by Oskar Panizza, published by Anaya in paperback (96 pages, in Spanish).
Fantastic tales from the German Romantic tradition, with echoes of Hoffmann and Poe. First-person narratives that blur reality with ambiguous and hallucinatory elements, sarcastic humor and anticlericalism; madness appears as an inner condemnation. «La fábrica de hombres» constitutes an incursion into science fiction with ethical reflection.
Spanish edition published in 1992, within the Biblioteca de El Sol collection. The original work, Die Menschenfabrik, dates from 1989. It also includes the tales «Fritz Corsés» and «La posada de la Trinidad».
