«La Faula» is the popularizing recreation of Guillem de Torroella's text, adapted by Francesc Gisbert Muñoz (Editorial Marfil, paperback, 87 pages).
Young Guillem de Torroella goes out riding without suspecting the adventures that await him. The work leads him into the world of medieval chivalry and brings him close to figures from the Arthurian cycle such as King Arthur, Morgana and Merlin, while the secret of the monarch's illness, presented as an affliction of all humanity, is revealed. With an agile narrative combining intrigue and fantasy, the story invites reflection on universal values and problems.
Edition in Catalan, number 4 of the Narrativa Secundaria collection, within the Joc de Daus line, with illustrations by Rosanna Crespo and Quique Soler.
A title suitable for young readers and for those wishing to approach the Arthurian universe for the first time in a brief and accessible way.
