«La favola di Eros e Psiche» is Apuleius's mythological fable, published by Demetra in paperback (160 pages, in Italian).
The tale, taken from 'The Metamorphoses' (or 'The Golden Ass'), tells how the young Psyche arouses Venus's envy and becomes the wife of Eros, god of love, on condition that she never see his face. The fable, with its strong philosophical symbolism, describes the soul's journey toward the divine through trials and suffering.
This edition, published in 2007, belongs to the Nuovi acquarelli collection and gathers the central episode of 'The Metamorphoses' (books IV, 28-VI, 24).
Recommended for those interested in classical mythology, Latin literature, and symbolic tales about love.
