«La Festa del barri» is the children's picture book by Mercè Abeyà, Àngels Prat i Pla and Fina Rifà, published by Editorial Casals (in Catalan).
The work recreates a neighborhood celebration as a community gathering full of color and joy: on the cover illustration, two children appear, a boy in a sailor suit and a girl in a striped dress, surrounded by multicolored dots on a coral background. A warm and endearing popular celebration.
Originally published in 1988, it has 20 pages and is written entirely in Catalan.
Intended for early readers and for families looking for stories in Catalan about popular celebrations.
Fina Rifà is a Catalan children's artist, illustrator, and educator from Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. She began her career in 1963 with the illustration of the acclaimed children's book Chiribit by educator Marta Mata.
