«La Festa Major» is the children's story by Adelina Palacín i Peguera and Assumpta Verdaguer Dodas (Edicions del Bullent, paperback, 32 pages, in Catalan).
Starring Pau and Laia, the story brings them closer to recognizable everyday situations from their own surroundings. The text, designed for early readers, specifically works on the spellings g, j, tg, tj, tx and ig, and the detailed illustrations reinforce comprehension of the narrative and the reading habit.
The book is illustrated by Pilarín Bayés de Luna; it is the ninth title in the Primeres planes series, published in 2000.
Aimed at early readers aged 5 to 7, intended for those beginning to read in Catalan.
