«La fiesta de cumpleaños» is a children's storybook by Toon Tellegen, published by Macmillan Iberia S.A. in hardcover (84 pages, in Spanish).
Modern fables and humorous stories about birthday parties: animals dress up elegantly and wait nervously for their guests. There is also an original costume party and an ant who keeps unforgettable moments in a little box to preserve the memory. Stories of friendship, of sharing what matters and of overcoming insecurities.
Part of the Librosaurio collection. Illustrated by Lluïsa Jover and translated by Nadine Beliën. The original Dutch work, «De verjaardag van de eekhoorn», was published in 1995.
Recommended for children aged 8 to 10, especially those who enjoy animal stories, humor and short tales.
Antonius Otto Hermannus (Toon) Tellegen is a Dutch writer, poet, and physician, known for children's books, especially those featuring anthropomorphised animals, particularly those about an ant and a squirrel. His writings are also enjoyed by adults, due to the amusing, bizarre situations that Tellegen creates, as well as their dealings with philosophical subjects.
