«La fiesta de Ralph» is Lisa Jewell's romantic novel, published in 2001 by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (413 pages, in Spanish).
Ralph and Smith share an apartment in a London building and look for a third roommate to keep things from getting tense. Jem's arrival entangles the neighbors' desires: Ralph wants to be with her, but Jem dates Smith, and Smith pines for Cheri, who has encounters with Karl. Ralph decides to invite them all to a party to sort it out.
It is the first installment in the Ralph's Party series. The translation from the original English is by María Antonia Menini.
It fits with chick lit and contemporary romance; the plot of romantic entanglements among neighbors makes it suitable for reading clubs.
