«La filla del mar» is the three-act drama by Àngel Guimerà, published by Bromera in paperback (216 pages, in Catalan).
Set in a seafaring environment, the play centers on Àgata, Mariona and Pere Màrtir, whose lives intertwine in a love story. Guimerà reflects on individual and collective identity and on acceptance of difference, with a realistic and naturalistic style typical of his mature period after the premiere in 1900.
This edition is number 78 of the 'Els Nostres Autors' collection and includes an introduction by Ramon Xavier Rosselló Ivars.
Recommended for readers interested in classic Catalan theatre and in the work of Àngel Guimerà.
