A choral essay on half a century of neighbourhood associations in Barcelona: origins, evolution, strengths, weaknesses and struggles of the movement. It places its most active period in the 1970s, with resistance to Francoism, and highlights the role of the FAVB (Federació d'Associacions de Veïns de Barcelona) in coordinating the associations.
It is issue number 1 of the Textos de Política Social collection, in a first edition published in 2023.
Recommended for readers of social and urban history, and for those studying the neighbourhood movement and citizen activism in Barcelona.
