La frontera salvaje is a book by Fernando Hernández Sánchez that explores a dark front in the fight against Franco. The author, a historian and member of the Association of Present-Day Historians, has researched Spanish and French archives to reveal a hidden war. The book uncovers the collusion of Francoist and French authorities to dismantle the Republican resistance in southern France. After France's liberation, the French government realizes that the structure of organized cells among Spanish exiles endangers its authority, and the Francoist government helps to thwart it.
