«La fuga de Colditz» is the memoir by Patrick R. Reid, published by Versal in paperback (380 pages, in Spanish).
The author, a captured British officer, recounts his time at Colditz Castle, turned by the Nazis into a prison for Allied officers who were repeat escapees. During the four and a half years the camp operated, nearly three hundred escape attempts were made, of which only about thirty achieved definitive evasion.
The book, published in 1986, bears the subtitle «Últimos días en Colditz» and its cover highlights the television adaptation («Gran éxito en TVE»).
For readers interested in World War II and true stories of survival and evasion.
