«La grua Estontola» is a children's story by Maria Àngels Anglada, published by Cruïlla in paperback (64 pages, in Catalan).
A construction crane, tired of remaining motionless beside a half-built building, decides to set off on a journey towards the Pyrenees. It walks by night, rests by day and observes its surroundings carefully; upon reaching a natural spot that fascinates it, it chooses to stay, where the vegetation and animals welcome it as part of the landscape.
Volume 24 of the El Barco de Vapor Blanca collection (El Vaixell de Vapor in the Catalan edition) includes illustrations by Montserrat Cabo.
Recommended for children aged 6 to 8, especially for early readers in Catalan who enjoy stories about characters discovering nature.
