«La Hurlevent» is the biography of Emily Brontë written by Jeanne Champion, published by LGF/Le Livre de Poche in paperback (479 pages, in French).
The work reconstructs the life of Emily Brontë in the Haworth parsonage, where she lives with her siblings Charlotte, Anne and Branwell and with her father after the death of her mother. The isolation of the moors and shared imagination lead the siblings to create literary universes, in a family aware of its slow disappearance.
The cover organizes the work into three volumes: «L'Enfant», «La Femme» and «Le Roi», and identifies the protagonist as Emily Brontë, nicknamed Burivain (1818-1848).
For readers interested in the Brontë family who want a biography written in French with a literary and evocative approach.
