«La investigación» is the satirical novel by Philippe Claudel, published by Salamandra in paperback (240 pages, in Spanish).
An anonymous investigator arrives in a nameless city to clarify the suicides at a gigantic company. In a hostile, watched environment, he senses he will be the next victim of a machinery that produces empty beings.
This edition belongs to the Salamandra Narrativa collection. Translated from French, whose original title is L'Enquête.
For readers of satirical fiction and social criticism with Kafkaesque echoes, such as Kafka's The Trial.
Philippe Claudel is a French writer and film director.
