«La laicidad del evangelio» is the essay on Christian theology and spirituality by José María Castillo Sánchez, published by Desclée De Brouwer in paperback (192 pages, in Spanish).
The author argues that the Gospel is not a book of religion but a set of stories that propose a life project centered on the human. Jesus, deeply religious through his relationship with God as Father, came into conflict with the religious structures of his time by prioritizing the health of the sick, coexistence with the poor and human relationships. The book invites readers to believe in the Gospel as a struggle against one's own inhumanity in order to become more human every day.
Part of the collection «A los cuatro vientos», number 58.
Recommended for readers interested in Christian theology, spirituality and a critical reading of religion from the message of Jesus.
