In 'The Inhospitable Freedom,' Félix Ovejero Lucas explores human models and liberal democracy, challenging conservative ideas that proclaim the end of history. The author questions notions such as human selfishness, the inevitability of tyranny when seeking equality, and the supposed ineffectiveness of public intervention. Ovejero Lucas critically analyzes the conception of the market as a guarantee of freedom and progress, as well as the vision of democracy as a competition system to elect political managers. This book invites reflection on citizen participation and social planning, offering a renewing perspective on the foundations of liberal society.
