«La Mariona i el seu gos» is the children's story by Roser Genover, illustrated by Neus Escudero, published by Cadí in paperback (48 pages, in Catalan).
La Mariona adopts a dog, names it, and discovers everything that caring for it involves: she makes sure it behaves and doesn't dirty the street, and plays with it without forgetting that it's not a toy. Thus a very strong bond is created between the girl and her dog, based on affection and responsibility.
The work belongs to the Llegir és viure collection and appears in its third edition, published on February 6, 2004.
Recommended from age 3, to work on the responsibility of having a pet and respect for animals.
