«La memoria de los seres perdidos» is the realistic young adult novel by Jordi Sierra i Fabra, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (192 pages, in Spanish).
Estela, a young Spanish woman, suddenly discovers that her parents are not who she thought they were. The novel follows her attempt to reconstruct a silenced past: the repression that made 30,000 people disappear in Argentina between 1977 and 1979, and the memory of those who still seek the truth.
It is number 24 of Alerta roja, within the Gran Angular collection, and was published on July 22, 2002.
It is aimed at young readers aged 14 and over, due to its theme of historical memory and search for identity.
