«La metà di niente» is Catherine Dunne's novel, published by Guanda in paperback (304 pages, in Italian).
In Dublin, Rose and Ben form a marriage with three children that seems normal until Ben abandons them. The novel portrays from a female perspective the economic difficulties, loneliness and the children's reactions, while Rose tries to reinvent herself and find a new family balance. It alternates the chronicle of the abandonment with flashbacks of their life together.
