«La misteriosa llama de la reina Loana» is the illustrated novel by Umberto Eco, published by Lumen in hardcover (512 pages, in Spanish).
Giambattista Bodoni, known as Yambo, wakes up in a hospital without recognizing his family or remembering his own life, although he retains historical memory. To help him recover, his wife takes him to his childhood home in Solara, where in the attic he finds books, comics, records, newspaper clippings and movie posters. From these objects he begins an almost detective-like investigation of his past, in a narrative that moves between nostalgia and irony.
The novel belongs to the Biblioteca Umberto Eco collection. It was originally published in 2004 as «La misteriosa fiamma della regina Loana» and translated into Spanish by Helena Lozano Miralles.
Recommended for readers of literary fiction and followers of Umberto Eco, especially those who enjoy stories about memory, twentieth-century popular culture and objects that preserve traces of an era.

Umberto Eco was an Italian medievalist, philosopher, semiotician, novelist, cultural critic, and political and social commentator. In English, he is best known for his popular 1980 novel The Name of the Rose, a historical mystery combining semiotics in fiction with biblical analysis, medieval studies and literary theory, as well as Foucault's Pendulum, his 1988 novel which touches on the history of occultism and its contemporary interpretation through the new age movement.
