«La Montagna rossa» is the crime novel by Olivier Truc, published by Marsilio in paperback (495 pages, in Italian).
In Swedish Lapland, the herders of the Balva clan find a skull-less skeleton during the annual reindeer sacrifice. Reindeer police officers Klemet Nango and Nina Nansen investigate, and the case brings to light the racism and oppression suffered by the Sami people, which Swedish institutions want to hide.
Third installment of the series «Le indagini della polizia delle renne», also known as the Klemet Nango series, translated by Raffaella Fontana; the French original was published as «La Montagne rouge».
For readers of Scandinavian crime fiction and of plots about Sami culture and territorial tensions in the Arctic.
