«La mujer sin cabeza» is the novel by Spanish writer Vicente Molina Foix, published by Plaza & Janés in hardcover (365 pages, in Spanish).
The story begins when a corpse appears in a coastal town and no one can determine its identity. From that event, the narrative delves into a chain of misunderstandings and deceptive perceptions: identity, gender and the very notion of reality become unstable and every certainty begins to waver.
The work is part of the Ave Fénix collection, major series; it was published in Barcelona in 1997 by Plaza & Janés.
It will appeal to readers of contemporary Spanish fiction and to those seeking a mystery novel with a reflective undertone.
