«La Mutante» is the novel by Cécil Saint-Laurent, published by Flammarion in paperback (348 pages, in French).
The story pits two opposite characters against each other: an unemployed executive and a «new» woman, a mutant. From their confrontation emerges a story with a love tone for the general public and erotic scenes handled with some restraint, in a very accessible narrative.
The work was originally published in 1978; this Flammarion edition is from 1992.
Aimed at the general public, within French fiction, for its pleasant and direct tone.
Jacques Laurent or Jacques Laurent-Cély was a French writer and journalist. He was born in Paris, the son of a barrister. During World War II, he fought with the Algerian Tirailleurs.
