«La niña de los tres nombres» is the novel by Tami Shem-Tov, published by Emecé Editores in paperback (285 pages, in Spanish).
During the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands, Lieneke, a Jewish girl, must go into hiding and change homes and names at each refuge. Lieneke's father, also in hiding, sends her illustrated letters that keep hope alive; the novel is structured around that secret correspondence and includes reproductions of the letters.
The novel is based on the true story of Nili Goren. The original letters from Lieneke's father are preserved at the Beit Lohamei Haghetaot museum, and the edition includes a family photo album.
A read for those seeking true stories of survival during the Nazi occupation and the Holocaust.
