«La nochevieja de Montalbano» is a collection of crime stories by Andrea Camilleri, published by Salamandra in paperback (336 pages, in Spanish).
Sicilian inspector Salvo Montalbano investigates several cases: a couple of actors with a funereal text, a judge tormented by his rulings, and a wife put to a public vote. In the central story, his melancholy New Year's Eve is only relieved by Adelina's arancini; to get them, he must prove the innocence of one of her sons.
This work is the sixth installment of the Inspector Montalbano series; the original Italian title is «Gli arancini di Montalbano», translated by María Antonia Menini.
It is aimed at followers of the Inspector Montalbano series and fans of crime fiction.
