«La Nochevieja de Montalbano» is the collection of crime stories by Andrea Camilleri, published by Quinteto in paperback (333 pages, in Spanish).
Salvo Montalbano, the Sicilian inspector, detects everyday incongruities that set his investigations in motion. The story that gives the book its title takes place on a melancholy New Year's Eve after arguing with his girlfriend Livia; only the arancini of his housekeeper Adelina, if he proves the innocence of one of her sons, brighten the day.
The book is the sixth installment of the Inspector Montalbano series and a collection of stories; its original Italian title is «Gli arancini di Montalbano».
For readers of crime and mystery fiction, especially those who follow the Inspector Montalbano series and Italian crime fiction.
Andrea Calogero Camilleri was an Italian writer best known for his Salvo Montalbano crime novels.
