«La otra historia de la segunda guerra mundial» is the historical essay by Donny Gluckstein, published by Editorial Ariel in paperback (320 pages, in Spanish).
The book revisits World War II from the perspective of popular militias and resistance movements, which fought not only against fascism but also against colonialism and imperialism. Against the imperialist war of the powers to divide up the world, it sets a popular war for rights and freedoms, with examples such as the Greek resistance or the German anti-Nazi communities.
It belongs to the Ariel Historia collection. The edition includes a translation by Joan Andreano Weyland.
Recommended for readers interested in a critical and social view of World War II, far from traditional military historiography.
