«La persona que fuimos» is the love novel by Lolita Bosch, published by Literatura Random House in paperback (112 pages, in Spanish).
The narrator receives a phone call that takes her back to a relationship that marked her life in Mexico City. She recalls the stages of that relationship through objects —a photo album, a tiny dinosaur, letters, an orange box and postcards—, from the enthusiasm in a cheap boarding house to an uncertain outcome, and wonders if they ever became one and the same person.
It was published on September 29, 2006.
It is suitable reading for those seeking contemporary fiction and love novels with an intimate look at memory and the past.
