«La princesa Cagaire i Bufeta» is the children's book by Anna Llàcer Córcoles, published by Edicions del Bullent in paperback (80 pages, in Catalan).
Bella, the protagonist, confesses she has hated her surnames for as long as she can remember, even before she was born: her parents chose the name Bella, but combined it with the outlandish «Cagaire i Bufeta». The story, with humor and fantasy, shows how the girl lives with such a peculiar inheritance and asserts her own identity.
It belongs to the Estrella de mar collection (no. 25) and includes illustrations by Esther Burgueño Vigil. First edition published in 2009.
A book aimed at children aged 8 to 10, designed for Catalan readers and to treat self-acceptance with humor.
