Synopsis of La ragazza di Bube
La historia se desarrolla en la Toscana después del final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Bube, un ex partisano, corteja a Mara, la hermana de un amigo suyo que murió en un enfrentamiento con los fascistas. Su inserción en la vida civil es difícil. Mata a un mariscal de los carabinieri con su hijo, tras una pelea con un sacerdote que no quería dejarle entrar en la iglesia. Mara, aunque lo ama, se siente atraída por Stefano, a quien conoció cuando Bube se ve obligado a huir a Francia. Pero se sabe que Bube ha sido extraditado y será juzgado en Florencia. Mara sigue el juicio y le promete al chico que lo esperará. Cuando es condenado a cadena perpetua, comienza para ella una vida de espera, interrumpida por breves visitas a la prisión.
