«La rateta i el gat burleta» is a children's story by Marc Donat Balcells, published by Cruïlla in paperback (64 pages, in Catalan).
A very vain little mouse finds a coin while sweeping the stairs and buys herself a pink bow. Soon a line of suitors forms —chickens, budgies, lions, camels, and even a royal-blooded toad— who want to marry her. That is the funny explanation for why cats and rats get along so badly.
Volume 90 of the El Barco de Vapor Blanca collection, with illustrations by Pedro Rodríguez Rodríguez. Published in 2015, with a recommended reading age of 6 to 8 years.
Recommended for children aged 6 to 8, with a humorous story starring animals.
