«La rateta presumida» is the traditional children's story by Teresa Sabaté Rodié, published by Salvatella in paperback (32 pages, in Catalan).
The little mouse finds a coin and uses it to smarten herself up and look prettier. Then she waits at her front door with a broom, and several suitors come along; she rejects them all. When a cat appears, the story leaves the lesson about prudence and the danger of trusting only appearances.
Published on November 22, 2004, it is number 10 in the Clàssics de Salvatella collection, in its first edition.
Aimed at children, especially those starting to read and wishing to discover popular tales in Catalan.
