«La rateta que llegia a l'escaleta» is a children's picture book by Vivim del Cuentu, published by Edicions Baula in paperback (32 pages, in Catalan).
The work puts a twist on the popular tale of the little mouse: the protagonist, who reads on the stairs, experiences a topsy-turvy version of the traditional story. Classic characters and situations are transformed with touches of humor and surprising turns that stimulate the imagination of children beginning to read.
It is the second title in the «Contes desexplicats» collection. The illustrations are by Marta Munté Vidal.
Recommended for children starting to read: humor and surprising versions of classic tales stimulate early readers.
