«La religión de Jesús» is a commentary on the daily Gospel (Cycle C, 2012-2013) by José Mª Castillo Sánchez (Desclée De Brouwer, paperback).
The author reads the gospels as the story of the life of Jesus of Nazareth, a man who clashed with the official religiosity of his time until he was tried and condemned. Against that institutional religion, he proposes a faith that translates into an honest and supportive life, conveys kindness, dispels fears and gives meaning to existence.
Work from the Temas bíblicos collection, in its first edition of 2012; recommended reading from age 16.
For readers interested in Christian spirituality, biblical commentaries and a critical view of institutional religion.
