«La residencia de los dioses» is the adventure and humor comic by Goscinny and Uderzo, published by Grijalbo/Dargaud in paperback (47 pages, in Spanish).
In this adventure, Julius Caesar tries to subdue the Gaulish village by peaceful means: he commissions the building of a luxury residence for Romans next to it, trusting that comfort and progress will bend the unyielding Gauls. Asterix and Obelix, with the help of their neighbors, will respond with wit and humor to the new threat.
Volume 17 of the Asterix series. The French original, Le Domaine des dieux, was published in 1971.
A comic aimed at children and young people, and at fans of Asterix's adventures and humor.

René Goscinny was a French comic editor and writer, who created the Asterix comic book series with illustrator Albert Uderzo. Born in France to a Jewish family from Poland, he spent his childhood in Argentina where he attended French schools and later lived in the United States for a short period of time. There he met Belgian cartoonist Morris. After his return to France, they collaborated for more than 20 years on the comic series Lucky Luke.
