In the first volume of The Scarlet Rose, Maud, after the death of her father, is taken in by her grandfather in Paris. However, the young woman's education and behavior are not to the old man's liking. Maud is only interested in fencing and the actions of a local bandit, Le Renard, a kind of Robin Hood who steals from the rich to help the poor. This adventure and action comic is illustrated and written by Patricia Lyfoung.
